Plans were generally accurate though a bit confusing on some of the dimensions. i prefer a scarfed hull panel which gives a fairer curve and doesn't require blocking at the panel joins, but their system works. i'd build another bateau boat. they have a nice range of designs in their portfolio.. Bateau’s sk14 is without a doubt one of the skinniest water micro-skiffs we’ve had the pleasure of running. we’ve literally floated this rig in about 2 1/2″ of water! even more satisfying is that we successfully completed building this boat from the ground up using plans provided by veteran boat designer and builder, jacques mertens.. Bateau.com has moved to boat builder central.com cnc cut plywood kits. our plywood kits are pre-cut on our cnc machine from either 1088 okoume marine plywood, or 6566 meranti. kits can be found linked at the bottom of each boat plan on the website. if you do not see a kit listed for a particular boat, please e-mail us for a custom quote..
